In addition, we will have occasional field trips that will not be part of our class time.  One of these field trips will be to the Reformed Synagogue in Rochester and will include both a Friday night/Saturday morning worship.  I'm proposing this be done between either the fall/winter or winter/spring sports seasons.  Also, we will visit Peace UCC in Rochester for worship and a UCC church in the Cities for worship.

The first year we will focus our academics on the Bible and our second year we will focus our academics on Church history.  Both years will also have expectations of involvement in at least 6 ministry projects per year.  These can include being the reader in church, singing in the choir or playing in the handbell choir, helping with the Sunday School Christmas program, etc.  Attendance in church and completion of sermon reviews is expected on a regular basis.  I continue to hope that we can go on a mission trip, perhaps joining with another church, in the summer.

Confirmation books will be handed out during our first class; there will be no cost for the books unless they are written in; please be sure you write out assignments in a separate notebook.  Please have a notebook and a folder designated for confirmation class.  Always bring these materials and your Bible with you to class.

Questions are expected from all students!!!!!

I have been continuously amazed and blessed by the confirmation students I have had the privilege to teach over the years, and believe this group of students will be a special blessing to our church!   Please, please, please remember to call me with questions or communicate if this schedule is not working out---I really want this to be a positive and joyful experience for all involved!
